RMS, the radiology specialist, has successfully installed and staffed a number of relocatable MR and CT scanners at NHS Trusts to help reduce radiology waiting lists due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The RMS modular units use state-of-the-art scanning equipment, including wide bore MRI scanners. RMS is unique as they also offer full staffing of the relocatable scanning units up to 15-hours a day with their own experienced radiographers.
RMS founder and clinical director William Bailey has had an outstanding career in Radiology and is celebrating 35 years in the industry.
Bill’s career has included managing the MR and CT department at Manchester Royal Infirmary as well as co-founding RMS in 2011. A career highlight for Bill was implementing a national fast stroke MRI protocol and helping to lead the implementation of a post-mortem imagining service in Manchester and, subsequently, nationally.
RMS, the radiology scanning specialist, has expanded its reach into Yorkshire with the addition of a 12-month contract in Yorkshire that will see their highly trained CT radiographers running a 7-day 12-hour service to support an onsite mobile unit as well as increasing inhouse CT capacity at a separate site.
A recent patient survey by the scanning specialist, Radiology Management Solutions (RMS) has delivered excellent feedback on their new modular MRI service. A cohort of 20 patients were questioned on a new MRI Modular service for a leading North West Trust.
RMS, the radiology scanning specialist, has been contracted to complete a complex MR scan to provide advanced neuro imaging analysis. The Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast (DSC) Enhanced Perfusion MR Scan is a unique and highly specialist type of MR scan that enables brain surgeons to better understand activity surrounding a brain tumour prior to surgery.
RMS, the radiology scanning company, is pleased to announce that Brad Lawson will be joining the team as Clinical Lead. Brad has worked with RMS for a number of years and is an experienced and talented radiographer. This new role will see Brad manage RMS’s modular team as well as being charged with leading clinical excellence and standards for the company.
Everyone at RMS is working hard to ensure that our radiographers and assistants are protected and safe during the Covid-19 outbreak. As our team work within hospitals, we are being especially cautious to make sure that we follow the government guidelines around self-isolation and social distancing.
Please be assured that we are reviewing guidelines and amending our working practices in line with ongoing changes.
We are very grateful to all of our radiographers and assistants who are working to ensure that patients can still be scanned in this difficult time.
If you have any questions regarding Covid-19 and our services, please contact us at or call us on 0161 410 0169.
Take care and stay safe.
Radiology Management Solutions (RMS) has been awarded a 4-year framework agreement for the supply of radiology capacity management services by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The framework means that NHS Trusts will be able to quickly work with RMS without lengthy procurement and tendering processes and is available for use by all NHS bodies and other public sector organisations in the UK.
The new Faster Diagnosis Standard, to be introduced in April 2020, will put additional pressure on imaging departments to meet cancer diagnosis deadlines.
The Faster Diagnosis Standard sets out to ensure that all patients who are referred for the investigation of suspected cancer find out within 28 days if they do or do not have a cancer diagnosis.
The RMS team will respond to your enquiry within 24 hours.
