Radiology Reporting - DEXA AND PLAIN FILM XRAY
RMS offer a radiology reporting (plain film and DXA / DEXA) service to help NHS Trusts reduce the backlog in these two key areas.
DXA / DEXA Radiology Reporting
Full DXA reporting service to provide advice and guidance on setting up and running a DXA reporting department, as well as staff training. The quality-assured DXA reports are completed in a standardised format according to DXA reporting protocols and include fracture risk assessment and rates of change in serial BMD measurements as well as commentary on the reliability of measurements.
The Royal Osteoporosis Society recently released guidelines for DXA radiology reporting in adults, which recommends that the DXA scan report is issued within three weeks of the scan and should contain sufficient detail to enable optimal management by a non-specialist referrer, such as a GP. You can review the guidelines here.
Plain Film Xray Reporting
Our advanced practitioner reporting radiographers provide a complete radiology reporting service to support the NHS. Our highly experienced team all have extensive reporting portfolios with multi-site experience. We support on-site staff and provide teaching and mentoring packages.
The RMS plain film reporting service helps Trusts to expedite every element of their scanning and reporting service, so that patients can be diagnosed and on their way to treatment much faster.
As well as providing plain film radiology reporting services, RMS radiographers will undertake peer review audits with advanced practitioners to practise within stringent clinical governance arrangements. Please contact us.
